Perspective is off on the first panel or Tiff grew a lot in that cell. Also what happen with Tiff’s clothes they should be in shreds by now or is her Royal body guard outfit self healing or tear proof?
Something just occurred to me…
Why do some of these characters have glasses in this time setting?…
I thought Tiff was always taller then the princess?
I sympathize with P-Cups. I love cake.
Ok that girl is obviously new and hasn’t been briefed on the dynamics of that royal family yet. Or the princess personal bodyguard. LOL.

So the princess is mad that she missed the wedding? Ok. I can live with that.
People with glasses in a medieval setting is nothing new.
We’ve got “Merlin” form the Disney movie “sword in the stone.”
We’ve got quite a few in the Brother’s Grim stories. (Jack and the Beanstalk comes to mind.)
So really, it’s an acceptable anachronism, although glasses are an outgrowth of the Monocle which DID exist in medieval history.
My rage is like… a dandelion? Not an effective simile, P-Cups.
If missing a wedding is enough for the Princess to virtually kill her horse to get from the border to the palace, then I’d hate to see what she’d do if she really got mad!

@Bad Taiming @TJgalon @Haje Tiff Size is affected by the Spell that first made her a Girl and it can affect her clothes.Originally it made her what she thought women wear. But she started to Gain some control over it. When she Dueled her brother she was able at will shape shift Bigger muscles consciously control it. So she can be shorter or taller and its a reality effect so others tend not to notice unless there very magical/Psychic or have it pointed out. But I suspect Tiff having fun with it.
@Jacana I went threw this a issues back glasses have been around some concrete evidence not much but still Concrete that they been with us since Egypt. And Besides there evidence Earth Teck has touched this world that even the Gods who made it the Travels and later the Authority might be from Earth.. Faden used to comment on Earth stuff to like alarm clocks.
@Jacana – “This time setting” is a bit of a strange concept since this isn’t our world. For all we know, this world has had plenty more time for certain crafts or technologies to develop or be refined or the presence of magic alters what we should expect.
Or… maybe the Dreamer wears glasses so they show up, from time to time, in the dream whether they’re entirely appropriate or not.
Either way, it not only explains the glasses but the fashions, shoe styles, some of the architecture, etc.

You mean guys who’ve been transgendered into women? There’s another woman he knows that he’s been sleeping with intermittently. He was drooling over the thought of her once when Peonie was talking to him. I forget her name but she was a woman who was trying to keep her troublesome son in line. Hmmm. Maybe he has a thing for strong-willed women.
Perhaps, but, yeah, it does seem odd that two of the three women he’s found enticing were MtF gals.

Nope the Assassin leader was all 100% girl her whole life as far as we know.And he out and out said it was Strength he needed in a woman as mate and queen.
Glasses: the earliest European mention of what we’d regard as glasses was Marco Polo’s report of seeing them in China in about 1270. The Chinese, apparently, ascribed their invention to the Arabs.
The first true spectacles in Europe were around 1725.

I am pretty sure that the princess has alwayse been on the short side and you can only shrink a person so much, even in the form of a woman she is still a barbarian. They are a large and sturdy people.
@Cerulean Lion. It’s not a CONSCIOUS control. She doesn’t actively control her changes. She changes depending on what the “curse” considers her mental state.
@Uhl and the curse we were told Evolves. That seen with her brother sure looked like control but changes depending her mental state not accurate it was what she thought a woman was. But that and the difference between mental state and CONSCIOUS control start to be splitting hairs at a certain point..
