I would definitely say that Typhan Knee is definitely the one in the wrong here and probably deserves to have their a!s kicked.

Makes me wonder if the sword will allow Typh to get her butt kicked to prove a point.

Yes She deserved that curse.. Misogynist Hate filled douchebag and well on her way to becoming Dad. So Faden used White magic indeed after all…

His/her brother laughed to find his brother a girl and I can not help but think Tiff had the laugh coming. And Fate Laughed with him.

Well, to be fair: that’s a reasonably easy climb if you just look where to place your feet, and there is no way that Typh could have dragged him up there instead of him climbing on his own: there is no reasonable place (and he did not have the rope or other means for it) to do it from. Pissing him off might well have been the most effective way to get him up there.

Cruel to be kind? Do it yourself, you coward?

This may be him trying to be nice…

(and yes, that’s still a good reason for his brother to want to kill him.)

“You’re only slowing me down” is something an older brother says to a younger brother. I always thought Typhon-knee was the younger brother…

Assuming, though it has not yet been proven, that her brother sent an assassin to kill Tiff instead of facing her himself, you can argue that it was a dishonorable act and Tiff is in the right to confront him. We don’t know what their relationship was like before the event we’re seeing and it is likely the event is as seen through the brother’s eyes, not necessarily the truth. We were given multiple versions of the “truth” concerning the death of their father. Also, as pointed out above, Tiff apparently has no rope or other way to help him, short of climbing back down and providing a hand each step up the cliff, which is certainly a dangerous thing for Tiff to do but something a loving brother would attempt. Clearly, they aren’t loving brothers. As to why that is, we don’t know yet.

Typh being smaller and of lighter stature made the climb, why can’t big brother? Or is he just being bossy trying to get Typh to do the work? Especially if it is a test or a hunt. Why help big brother so her can steal the glory at the end. You know he would never admit it was because Typh helped him.

Tiff’s dad was forging a hard and cruel weapon in his older son.
I think this flash back is little brothers veiw on what happened but it’s not far from the truth.
Tiff did say she had a lot to things to make up for in her past.
Tiff really was a dick when he had a dick. He must have had a lot of self hatred that he focussed on those around him.

I’m so used to having a younger brother that is quite a bit larger than me that I think nothing of it. But I guess a lot of people equate “older” with “bigger.”

I’m 6’3″. My younger cousin is 7’5″. Bigger=Older never clicked for me, either.

I imagine that growing up in a barbarian society where might makes right is an everyday theme, trying to help him wouldn’t exactly be helping him in the long run. If he thought there would always be someone to help him, he’d likely eventually end up in a bad situation where his life was on the line and possibly hesitate to long waiting for help.

@Guesticus Quote”Wait, we are supposed to be cheering for Tiff? Please to be reminding me, that is what reason?”

NOPE! We are supposed to be entertained forgive me Guesticus but to manny people forget a story supposed to entertain the star not need be Pure/ I just read a book called “imp” read all 6 in one night it had like 25 reviews that wear 5 starts and 3 that wear 2 starts, I read the reviews , the 2 star the 3 2 guys had the same Problem the main character that while believable and entertaining and enthralling was Evil most of the time. And how could you cheer for evil hero??

Tiff Is not evil now but her Origin she was a mess. She was Evil so what?

Is it believable content? Check. Is it Entertaining? Check. Has she changed in a believable way? Check.

Screw these heros that are Evil and say after munching a Baby like beef jerky, “You know I been a Bad boy, I am now going to make up for my evil!” Or Heroes that came from purrfect families, Or worse the Dark Elf raised as Evil but grew up a Noble soul!
Because here the thing its a store the star can be evil or grew up truly evil. Tiff Changed and wants to be redeemed and feel real guilt and of her own will reform but thats not the important part.

The Important Part is it Entertaining!
Personaly I think Tiff knew He was not right and was jelouse of her brother.

There a Medical condition that was discovered when several gays and trans gender requested it checked in there autopsies, They wear found to have the wrong Gender Brains…

All that talk about being a woman traped in a mans body or a man trapped in a Womans turned out in some cases to be Nail on the head Literal truth. Of course I am overly simplifying it but read it your selves.

What if this was what Tiff had And the white magic healed what was and is realistically a birth defect?

Being born Gay is not a birth defect Jonathan Wint . Gays have been part of humanity for as long as there has been people. Even our Ape cousins have gays.
The white magic tried to make it so he would be able to be happy being close to a man. Clearly in his society Gays are not excepted. His father trying to kill him probably didn’t help too.

Different society, different rules. I’m 62 and I might be able to finish that climb. Any second year Songmark girl would laugh at him, bonebreaker cliff is worse that that.

True, Tiff has a lot to make up for, a lot of Karma to sort out but be honest, don’t we all?

If someone is having difficulty in a climb, even if it should be easy, even if there is nothing practical you can do, you can still stay there and give encouragement and reassurance–it is the moral thing to do. Anyone that doesn’t is a 24 carat bastard.

@Bad Taiming Never said it was but there IS a birth defect witch will cause it. That is a PROVEN fact one that the Gay community was fighting to prove for years. What I am saying ,(God I hate PC nonsense) Is that there are people that are Born Gay from a very clear biological error. Now there are manny reasons that some one might be gay but the fact that it can be BIOLOGICAL means that people can not be made strait by idiot therapy. So the community can not have it both ways, there are people that are gay because of Environmental factors but It HAS BEEN PROVEN that there are those simply born with the wrong GENDER.

So Please stop trying to make homophobic comment on your part sound like you you are defending gays.

The Fact is this My grandkid might be gay so could yours and its not a choice, it just IS.

Nor am I saying its wrong but gays are happy with there Gender Transsexuals with this Disorder ARE NOT HAPPY IN ANY WAY!..

    February 21, 2014, 10:40 am | # | Reply

@Bad Taiming So to be clear I am saying Tiff might of been Trans-gender, Felt she was in the wrong body, felt female. Some transgenders have been found to have nearly completely female brains in a Male body, I am suggesting Tiff was one of these. Gays are happy with there Gender, Transsexuals are not as they seem to have instinctual knowledge that they got the wrong body.

And it was kind a shock to sciece when they found out the these people saying they were women trapped in male bodies were Literally RIGHT!

So yes it can be a birth defect.
The phrase birth defect Is NOT a nasty word.
I suffer a birth defect it makes me smarter more resistant to pain ,Asperger’s syndrome. Would I like a cure? So I can be 75 IQ point lower than I am and average? Just so I could fit in socially? H#LL NO!

So I hold nothing against gays, I like Women not Men as a heterosexual so it makes perfect sense to me that there are Women that like Women and not men, and there for there are men that must like just men not Women…

But the Biology of a Trans-gender has been found to be defective. Thats a Birth defect. And being Gay dose not solve there problem there minds are hard wired to be the opposite Gender.

What I am saying is what if you had a person with this trans-gender birth defect hit by white healing magic? Would it fix the body or the soul and brain?

P.S. I hate Political Correction Nonsense.

P.S. I have no Grand kid yet but I got a suspicion ;), But my kids are not biologically mine. Asperger’s syndrome I made piece with and take the good with the bad but I would not pass it on to anther that I love (MY CHOICE)as its a Little more serous than being gay, But I will love my grandkids ether way.

“Anyone that doesn’t is a 24 carat bastard.”
Unless perhaps he was raised in a culture that teaches him to despise perceived weakness, and would despise /him/ for showing kindness to the weak.
We didn’t see a lot of Typhon-Knee’s father, but what we did see suggests that he’d have approved of young Typhon-Knee’s behavior in this scene.
That’s supposing the scene is accurate and not Angry Brother’s distorted memory.

    March 17, 2014, 11:49 pm | # | Reply

    Hmm… so let’s review:

    1. Attempted to rape three women, and failed, not out of a sudden flash of conscience or compassion, but due to an repressed sexual orientation making it impossible.
    2. Murdered the helpless women out of spite.
    3. Attempted to rape a boy, failed, not due to conscience or compassion, but shame at being discovered by his father not to be raping a woman like he was supposed to.
    4. Years later, after many long months as a woman, seeing the other side, exposure to a different culture that does NOT condone rape, along with tons of opportunity for personal growth and self-reflection… shows no regret or contrition over attempting to rape helpless women… only that he FAILED to as a result of being homosexual.
    5. Callously turned his back on and abandoned to die on a cliff, his last living relative; the brother who saved his life even though it meant killing the father they both respected to do so.

Yup. That’s a great villain you’ve written there. A little easier on the eyes than Fayden, but demonstrably just as remorselessly evil.

Hi-fives to “brother” Theresa for calling it even before the big reveal.
How long until the heroine-by-default of the story, Princess Peone, stabs the evil villain in the t!!s and saves the day?
