She must not assume any women in her family would grow that big, or that tall, lol. either ay, nice use of the D word and not the S word too.
They should on occasion make Typhen-knee act macho, just to mess with people. I mean, digging the hawt barbarian thing, but every female seems to be attractive…or maybe they are the only ones hired? What happened to midget boy and Nymph? Also, I wonder if anyone is ever going to *coughs loudly* wonder if Peonies Dad is going to punish his captain of arms for removing his daughters value…?

…I don’t think the King is anywhere near that sexist or foolish. He’s constantly involved with “sinful” women ranging from the assassins circus guild thing’s leader, to his new wife the former-priest-turned-vivacious-hedonist. No way is he going to punish a loyal retainer for giving pleasure to his beloved child. Worst case, the Captain finds himself married and promoted to Royal Consort to the next Queen.
On the other hand, if someone tried to RAPE Peonie, pieces of his body would be sent to all corners of the realm as a warning about that sort of thing.
Really, there would be pieces left over, so I guess the king showed mercy then.
Is it me or does Tiff have a freakishly long thumb in the first frame?

No, it’s her thumb. Her pinky and ring fingers are close together, to the point where they look like they’re touching from our perspective. The last finger is the third one past those, so…thumb. Might be slightly long, I wouldn’t say “freakishly” so. What I noticed more was that Tiff seemed to grow half a foot in the second-to-last frame. Her grandmother comes to about halfway up Tiff’s head in other shots, but in the “once-over” frame, she’s barely to Tiff’s chin.

Her thumb isn’t extra long, her fingers are slightly bent towards her, it’s a little thing called ‘perspective’
Wait, does this really mean that Tiff was born a girl and was changed to a boy only for Faden to screw things up and turn her back? o_O
No it doesn’t?
She’s probably never met the old woman before, and doesn’t want to try to explain introducing herself as “grandson” during their first meeting. “Granddaughter” is much easier, and less likely to get the door slammed in her face.
Here a ugly thought.. Maybe they thought her mom Dead all this time?
Thats to say that there daughter Died in the Attack and never kidnapped.. But they look alike so either there blind or Never knew she lived Long enough to have children .
Maybe they heard from or about their daughter and know she only had sons not a daughter.
