    Typh! I’m ashamed of you!

It looks as though Typh misjudged his timing and swung the hammer too fast. Still, at least the candlestick holder’s only caught him on his arm rather than anywhere else, so apart from the inconvenience of the wax and possible delays removing it from his right eyelid, no long term effects as long as Typh can continue dodging candlesticks and pews.

I’m guessing Typh was expecting to parry the solid base of the candle stand, but was caught out when it was flipped mid-thrust.

Ricky was swinging the candlestick, not thrusting it, so Typh was always going to get the pointy end

    Ouch.
Some big candlesticks have spikes in the candle-holders, to impale the candle on.
Not very long, usually, but enough to leave a mark. And nastily focus the damage of a forward thrust.
No blood right now, so maybe this one is fortunately of the spikeless variety.

Yeah, looks like one of the ones with the holes for the candles, rather than the spikes

You generally see spikes on holders for pillar candles. Those look like tapers.

Telegramming? They have a telegram system? The candlestick holder seems to be kinda bendy, flexing in Panels 4 and 5. Maybe that’s why Typh missed. Sometimes, I wish she still had her old sword. Or any sword. The hammer seems somewhat limited, forcing her to get a little too close to the action.

Isn’t it telegraphing a move though? You send a telegram via the telegraph system (old enough to remember people reading out telegrams from guests who couldn’t make it to weddings)
Not saying should change the text because people get phrases wrong all the time (like probably me right now)

Typhs problem with the hammer seems to be holding it too far up the shaft, rather than the handle at the end

Yep. Telegraphing. Typh misunderstood. She blocked the candlestick, but the hot wax hit her in the eyes. Also, back talk is as dangerous as monologuing. Typh would be safer dropping the Spider-Man patter and just kicking Mushroom Head’s a!s.

Hmmm wonder if this the first time Typh has received a face full of hot sticky white stuff 😉

Typh got careless, and Brother Heartless is a competent fighter. Typh should finish him quickly.

Meanwhile it looks like a wax job went afoul.
